WIN study reveals international differences in health behaviour
In 2021, overall perceptions of health remain stable compared to 2020 results (from 79% to 77%). When asked on a 10-point scale, men consider themselves healthier than women (80% and 75% respectively in the Top3Boxes). In Africa, this self-assessment rises to 90 %. Looking at countries, the proportion of people who consider themselves healthy is 93 % in Vietnam and 92 % in Nigeria. Chile and Poland bring up the rear with 57 % and 55 % respectively. The value for Germany is in the midfield with 71 %.
This is just one result from the WIN World Survey (WWS 2021), which examines the views and beliefs of citizens from over 30 countries around the world every year. For the current study, 33,236 people in 39 countries were interviewed. More detailed and additional results can be found in the official press release at www.winmr.com.
WIN International is the world's leading association of market and opinion research institutes. As the exclusive German WIN member, Produkt + Markt conducted the study in Germany in October 2021.
